Yorkshire Dales Climbing.
The Yorkshire Dales boast an exceptional variety of climbing, mainly on limestone cliffs. With loads of technical, enjoyable classics waiting to be climbed, the area offers a mix of bolted sport routes, as well as plenty of legendary trad climbs for those after a more adventurous challenge.
Our guides will take you on carefully selected routes tailored to your skill level and climbing goals. We focus on the best climbs and ensure an unforgettable experience. As always our days are bespoke and tailored to you, so if you have specific objectives make sure to include them on the booking form.

We usually begin the day at 8am with a coffee in Settle, a charming market town with a great selection of cafés and an even better array of nearby crags. This is a great time to get to know you, chat through your experience, and look at the guidebooks, weather forecasts, and the plan for the day.
From there, we’ll head out into the stunning limestone landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. If you’re after a relaxed day, we’ll visit one of the sport crags within a 15-minute drive of Settle—perfect for maximising climbing time with short walk-ins and well-bolted routes to suit all levels.
For those seeking a more adventurous outing, we’ll head to the impressive trad venues of Malham Cove or Gordale Scar. These world-renowned crags offer dramatic settings, big routes, and a real sense of adventure.
Throughout the day, the focus is on enjoyment and progression, while always maintaining the highest standards of safety—something our professionally qualified guides take seriously. Whether it’s your first time on Yorkshire limestone or you're pushing your limits, we’ll tailor the day to your goals.
