Peak District Climbing.

The Peak District offers an array of great climbing, there’s grippy gritstone crags which have inspired climbers for generations and technical limestone cliffs tucked away in sleepy villages.

Our guides will select routes so you climb the very best the Peak has to offer— classic climbs which will put a big grin on your face. If you’re looking to climb specific routes we can make that happen! (Up to E3)

  • We’ll start the day by meeting in Hathersage, a great base with easy access to some of the best climbing in the UK. Over a morning coffee, we’ll chat about your experience and what you’d like to get out of the day, then put together a plan that suits your goals.

From there, we’ll head out to one of the many world-class gritstone crags nearby—there are over 15 top-quality crags within 15 minutes of Hathersage, offering a huge range of routes across all grades. Whether you’re new to trad or an experienced climber, there’s something here for everyone.

Our aim will be to tick off as many classic routes as we can, making the most of the day on the unique and inspiring gritstone.

If grit isn’t your thing, we can head to the limestone crags in the Southern Peak District instead. These offer a different style of climbing, including some excellent multi-pitch routes, all just a short drive away.

Like all our guiding days, this is completely bespoke. If you have specific routes in mind—up to E3—we’ll do our best to get on them and tailor the day entirely around your objectives.

  • Anyone who has seconded trad routes before, we can cater to all levels of climbers, from beginners climbing Diffs to experienced climbers climbing up to E3.

  • We run guiding days throughout the year.

A day of climbing will typically last from 8 in the morning until 4/5 in the afternoon.

For 1:1 Guiding we charge £250, For 1:2 Guiding we charge £300.
