Our Climate Ethos

We’re lucky to work in some of the most beautiful parts of the country, and we want to do our part to keep them that way. Our sustainability commitments are:

DONATING 1% of Profit to Climate Charities

Around 85% of carbon offset schemes are ineffective. Most have poor monitoring, low transparency, and no requirement for independent certification. Instead of relying on these schemes, we choose to support one of the world’s top climate charities, Clean Air Task Force. Which is vetted by Giving Green, an organisation that spends thousands of hours each year identifying the most impactful places to donate. We donate 1% of our yearly profit to the Clean Air Task Force, one of Giving Green’s highest-rated climate charities.

Leaving no Trace

All our guides follow a strict Leave No Trace approach. We never litter, and we actively encourage both our guests and guides to pick up any rubbish they find on the hills.

Lift Sharing and encouraging Public Transport

We’re happy to offer lifts and car sharing where possible, and we actively encourage our guests to travel by public transport. We’re always glad to help with logistical support or advice if you’re planning your trip this way. Our small group ratios mean every course and guided day is personal, allowing us to consider our environmental impact with each client and find simple ways to reduce it.

Encourage discussion around the Climate and carry educational content with us

We like to have open discussions with our clients about the environment, when they’re interested of course, with no pressure. We also carry educational and factual resources, including a climate map that highlights the most effective ways individuals can help in the fight for the environment.
